Em Matchette

Whether the medium is text, song, or movement, Em loves being that outside eye to assist in shaping a story. They believe that the best product is a result of a happy and collaborative process. It is a priority to them to ensure that rehearsals are safe place for performers to speak up and share their ideas.

Passionate about youth theatre, Em has been a theatre instructor for over ten years, teaching at the French Woods Festival of Performing Arts in New York, Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts, Showstoppers Academy of Performing Arts, and Evergreen Cultural Centre.

 

Select directing credits include: A Year with Frog and Toad, The Big-On Oh! Jr (French Woods), Finding Nemo Jr, The Little Mermaid Jr, Xanadu Jr (Showstoppers), Singin’ in the Rain Jr, and Matilda Jr (Lindbjerg), Peter Pan JR (director - CTORA Theatre), American Idiot (choreographer - URP), and The Drowsy Chaperone (assistant choreographer - Theatre Under the Stars).
